However, rather than steel, the tool box is constructed from aluminum, making the combo transfer tank lighter than full-steel models. This helps keep unnecessary weight off your truck to promote longer life and better gas mileage. The aluminum tool box of this combo transfer tank offers convenient storage and reliable security for your tools and equipment. It is constructed from 0.080 Inch mill-finished aluminum and features our patented RigidCore technology for a high-strength lid. The lid is comprised of two aluminum plates filled with a solid foam, making it extremely strong and rigid. The lid also has a MicroSeal gasket to further protect your items, and it self-opens to 90 Degree for convenient, one-handed operation. The transfer tank tool box is also equipped with stainless steel locking handles and a connection rod for operation from either side of the truck. The rod is enclosed by an aluminum guard that protects the locks from jamming and increases pry resistance.
